The countdown is on to Election Day.
Tuesday morning, polling places will open for voters. They'll cast their ballot for the 45th President of the United States.
There are a few things to make sure you have ready before heading to the polls.
- Know your polling location. You're assigned a polling location based on where you live. To find your polling location visit: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/FindMyPollingPlace
- Make sure you have the proper photo ID ready. Poll workers will ask to see a driver's license or approved state ID card with proof of residence. To see a full list of approved state ID cards visit: https://myvote.wi.gov/en-us/PhotoIDRequired\
- Update any name or address change to your municipality. You can do this online here.
- If you haven't registered to vote, it's not too late. You can do it online here. Wisconsin is one of 8 states where you can register to vote on Election day.
A quick reminder, poll selfies are not allowed in Wisconsin.
Polls in our state are open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Any person waiting in line to vote at the time the polls officially close will be permitted to vote.
